Davenport Community School District provides comprehensive K-12 music and visual arts program. Time and again, our community has demonstrated a strong conviction that the arts are an essential part of comprehensive education. All elementary students have general music and art classes on a regular basis. Junior High students have visual art and general music classes as well as optional band, chorus, and orchestra. High School students are offered traditional visual arts classes, AP Studio Art, Computer Graphics, Digital Photography, Band, Chorus, Orchestra, and Music Theory. The Davenport School District understands the importance of Fine Arts Education, not only for learning about the arts, but for what it does for student development in thinking and creativity. The Fine Arts help define us as a Community.
