The Accelerated Associates Degree Program is offered only at North High School. Students must be enrolled at North to participate. All dual credit courses are taught by a Davenport Schools teacher or EICC instructor. There is no fee for books or tuition. Each year, students will select from an array of traditional high school and dual credit or AP courses that will lead them towards Accelerated Associates Degree; a High School Diploma and an Associate of Arts Degree.
The students accepted into this program take college level coursework to meet the requirements for an AA Degree while meeting high school graduation requirements. Once a student’s application is accepted, he/she is expected to abide by several criteria to continue in the program including keeping at least a 2.5 GPA, maintaining a 95% attendance rate, and displaying appropriate behavior.
