    Iowa Juniors Honors Orchestra

    turner Congratulations to Turner S. who was selected to represent Walcott and the Davenport Comm. School District at the Iowa Juniors Honors Orchestra on Friday, Nov. 21st.  Turner was selected from top middle school orchestra students from the state of Iowa to rehearse and perform in Ames that day with some of the most elite musicians in the state.  Congratulations Turner!!!!     Halloween Celebration

    Students at Walcott School participated in a pumpkin carving contest by elementary and intermediate AP homerooms. The winning pumpkin was Ms. Adams’ AP class. On Friday, Oct. 31 Halloween celebrations concluded with a school costume parade by elementary students.

    October as National Bullying Prevention Month and participated in a variety of activities that highlighted the theme of: The End of Bullying Begins with Me!  Students spent various days watching bullying videos and having discussions in classes about how to unify together to stop bullying.     Children’s Literature Festival

    On October 28, 2014, 22 students in grades 3 – 5 attended the David R.
