This is a tribute to our Walcott HUG Award recipients for 2014. Our teachers, secretary, para-educator, and parent volunteers are recognized for their dedication and exemplary service to our students and staff at Walcott School. Each recipient received a HUG certificate and pin, and our sincere gratitude. The HUG Award Ceremony was hosted on Friday, May 23 at Walcott School. Read more
Mrs. Donahue’s and Mrs. Keppy’s 1st grade classes performed for parents on Friday, May 9 in the large gym. Students performed three songs. The performance concluded with a powerpoint of the year’s activities. Parents may receive a copy of the powerpoint by sending in to their student’s teacher a flash drive with their student’s name on it.
My niece Dr. Anneliese Downing spoke to both 4th grade classes and one 5th grade class in the library about working as a veterinarian in Australia. Dr. Downing is from New South Wales and specializes in horse veterinary science. She was here in the States visiting a university veterinary school in Texas. ~Mrs. Toppler
