Middle School Jump Academy

For Incoming 6th Grade Students at Wood, Smart, Sudlow, Walcott, and Williams Middle Schools

Starting middle school is an exciting milestone — and we’re here to help make the transition smooth and successful.

All incoming 6th grade students are invited to attend their school’s JUMP Academy on:

Date: Tuesday, August 12, 2025
Time: 9:00 AM – 11:30 AM
Location: At Your Assigned Middle School (Wood, Smart, Sudlow, Walcott, or Williams)

This free orientation program gives students the opportunity to get familiar with their new school, meet staff and classmates, and start building confidence for the first day.

During JUMP Academy, students will:

• Meet the Principal, Associate Principal, teachers, and staff

• Get to know other incoming 6th grade students

• Take a guided tour of the building

• Learn daily procedures and expectations

• Practice using a locker and navigating the school

• Ask questions in a welcoming and supportive environment
