Culinary Arts Students Participate in Iowa Farm to Table Dinner

DCSD culinary arts students had the opportunity to participate in a unique, hands-on learning experience at the Iowa Farm To Table Dinner Series, where they worked alongside Chef Benjamin Smart of Big Grove Brewery. This collaboration provided students with real-world kitchen experience, allowing them to practice their skills in a professional setting while learning from top-tier chefs.

From prepping fresh, seasonal ingredients to plating gourmet dishes, students gained invaluable insight into the farm-to-table process and the art of creating a memorable dining experience. Not only did they contribute to an event that showcases Iowa's local farms, but they also had the chance to network with industry professionals, expanding their knowledge of the culinary world!
