Building the Future: Sudlow Middle School's Ground Breaking

Yesterday our community officially broke ground on the new Sudlow Middle School! This celebration marks our commitment to bringing the vision set forth in our Long Range Facility Planning process to reality. As construction begins this winter, we are not just building walls and classrooms, we are building the future of Davenport. A future where each student has the chance to succeed, to dream and to become leaders in our community and beyond.
This groundbreaking represents our community’s commitment to providing the best educational environment for our students. One of the most exciting aspects of this project is the involvement of students and staff in shaping the design of this school. 

Bray Architects held focus groups with both staff and students to ensure that everyone’s voices were heard in the design process. Our teachers shared their vision for what an ideal learning space would look like while our students provided valuable insights into what will help them feel engaged in their learning environment.
 
We can't wait to see how our students will make this space their own! This school will be a place where they will create memories, forge friendships and grow into the leaders of tomorrow.
