The Davenport Central High School Class of 1964 has always shown its dedication to education, and their 60th reunion celebration was no exception. This incredible group of alumni not only gathered to reconnect and celebrate their shared memories, but they also went above and beyond to support future generations of educators. During their reunion, the class raised an additional $6,000 for the CHS Future Teacher’s Scholarship Fund, a cause they’ve supported since its inception.

This scholarship was established by the Class of 1964 during their 50th reunion in 2014, and thanks to their continued generosity, it has grown to over $70,000. The funds are dedicated to supporting graduating seniors who aspire to become teachers, helping them pursue higher education and achieve their dreams of shaping young minds.

This is just one way the foundation makes a difference; they also fund experiential learning trips for K-8 students and innovative teaching grants for faculty, all thanks to the incredible support from donors. Together, we’re committed to growing academic excellence in our district!
