The Davenport Community School District is proud to announce that it has been awarded funding through the Scott County Regional Authority (SCRA) in two 2025 grant cycles. These grants provide critical support for programs that enhance student learning, engagement, and access to enriching opportunities.

The 2025 grants awarded to Davenport Schools include:

  • Band & Orchestra Instruments – $79,808 to purchase instruments for Garfield, Jackson, Jefferson, and Madison Elementaries, as well as Smart Middle School. This funding will help increase participation in instrumental music programs at schools that currently have waiting lists for students due to limited instrument availability.

  • Extended-Day Preschool Pilot Project – $2,639 to expand early learning opportunities and support students’ academic growth before kindergarten.

  • Growing Curriculum with the Mid City Urban Farm – $27,993 to provide hands-on, experiential learning opportunities that connect students to science, nutrition, and sustainability concepts.

These grants help increase access, while supporting student growth, engagement, and success every day.  Thank you SCRA for continuing to support Davenport students.
