DCSD Receives Support from Scott County Regional Authority

The Davenport Community School District is proud to announce that it has been awarded funding through the Scott County Regional Authority (SCRA) in two 2025 grant cycles. These grants provide critical support for programs that enhance student learning, engagement, and access to enriching opportunities.
- The 2025 grants awarded to Davenport Schools include:Band & Orchestra Instruments – $79,808 to purchase instruments for Garfield, Jackson, Jefferson, Madison Elementaries, and Smart Middle School allowing students unable to rent or purchase instruments to participate.
- Central-North After Prom Committee - $5000 to provide a safe place for students to celebrate following prom in April. Event held at the TBK Sports Complex.
- Extended-Day Preschool Pilot Project – $2,639 to provide supplies for full-day preschool programming at Jackson and Madison elementaries.
- Growing Curriculum with the Mid City Urban Farm – $27,993 to support curriculum development for a new course; to provide hands-on, experiential learning utilizing hydroponics systems; and to install fencing for garden plots.
These grants help increase access, while supporting student growth, engagement, and success every day. Thank you SCRA for continuing to support Davenport students.
