The Davenport Schools Foundation is honored to offer scholarships to West High graduating seniors. We thank our very generous donors for their giving hearts to help a student's dreams fly!

The West High School Counselor who is the primary contact for scholarships is Amy Murphy.

Brian Keppy Memorial Scholarship

Amount of Scholarship: $1000 — (Amount may vary according to earnings)
Number Offered Each Year: One
Deadline: Online applications are due on March 1st no later than 11:59 P.M.
Need Basis: High consideration
Qualifications: Graduate by June from West High School with at least a 3.0 GPA. Played football and shown dedication to the weight room.
Obligations: Must provide a letter of reference from teacher, counselor or admin.

Friends of West Scholarship

Amount of Scholarship: $1,500 (Amount may vary according to earnings
Number Offered Each Year: One
Deadline: Online applications are due on March 1st no later than 11:59 P.M.
Qualifications: 3.25 GPA or 24 ACT, graduation by June from one of the Davenport Community School District. Scholastic achievement, extracurricular activities and community service.
Obligations: Essay, letter of reference, interview, verification of enrollment in an accredited 2 or 4-year college or university in the USA

George E. Weis Memorial Scholarship

Amount of Scholarship: $500 (Amount may vary according to earnings)
Number Offered Each Year: One
Deadline: Online applications are due on March 1st no later than 11:59 P.M.
Need Basis: High consideration
Qualifications: Graduate by June from West High School. Plan to attend trade or technical college (e.g. Scott or Hamilton). Financial need and academic achievement important

Jack L. Hudson Scholarship

Amount of Scholarship: $1,400 (Amount may vary according to earnings)
Number Offered Each Year: One
Deadline: Online applications are due on March 1st no later than 11:59 P.M.
Need Basis: Consideration
Qualifications: Graduation by June from Davenport West H.S., show an interest in science, and attend a 4-year university.
Winners are chosen by the West High School Science Department.
Obligations: 300-word essay outlining their purpose in going to college, their immediate objectives, and their future goals.

Jan Mutum Educator Opportunity Scholarship

Amount of Scholarship: $10,000 ($2,500/Renewable Over Four Years) (Amount may vary according to earnings)
Number Offered Each Year: One
Deadline: Online applications are due on February 15th no later than 11:59 P.M.
Need Basis: High Consideration
Qualifications: 2.75 GPA or 24 ACT, graduation by June from West High School, intent on entering the field of education – as a teacher, administrator, counselor, coach, etc.
Obligations: Verification of enrollment in an accredited 2- or 4-year college or university in the USA. The finalists will be interviewed.
