Daniel L. Wisely Memorial Scholarship

For Military/First Responders

Amount of Scholarship: $1000 (Expected minimum award. Amount may change according to earnings.)

Deadline: Online applications are due on March 1st no later than 11:59 P.M.
Qualifications: Applicants must be interested in serving in the military or as a first responder such as police, fire, EMT, and similar occupations. They must have graduated from a Davenport Community Schools high school by the last day in June while maintaining an overall GPA of 2.5 or higher.  
Obligations: Applicants must have demonstrated the spirit necessary for a successful military/first responder career. A current transcript of grades is required and applicants must submit an essay (300 words max) explaining their career goals. A letter of recommendation is required from an individual well acquainted with the applicant and his/her career goals.
