• Number Offered Each Year:  Seven total scholarships will be awarded, including the Jim Hester Scholarship, which goes to a minority student; the Russell and Ellen Meyer Scholarship, which goes to a student with significant financial need; the Jim Groenenboom Scholarship for a student who intends to go into accounting or teach in a high school business department; the Kneipp Scholarship for a student who will major in nursing or a related health care field as well as having a history of extracurricular activities in their church, and up to two Fisher at-large awards.

• Qualifications: 3.0 GPA, graduation by June from Central High School, scholastic achievement, extracurricular activities, community involvement
• Obligations: Verification of enrollment in an accredited 2- or 4-year college or university in the USA, letter of recommendation from a teacher and a counselor.

• Need Basis: Given high consideration
• Qualifications: Student-athlete at Central High School, nominated by a coach, selected by a Faculty Committee of coaches and athletic director. Based on scholarship and citizenship.
• Obligations: No application process.

For Central High School Women Tennis, Basketball or Volleyball

• Amount of Scholarship: $1,000.00 (Amount may vary according to earnings)

• Number Offered Each Year: One
• Need Basis: Given consideration
• Qualifications: The award recipient must have participated in varsity tennis.  Basketball or volleyball is given consideration if no applicants from tennis.  Must have a 3.00 GPA.  Must have plans to participate in the sport at the varsity level in college.

• Number Offered Each Year: One male and one female at Central High School.
• Need Basis: Given high consideration

• Qualifications: Applicants must be graduating from Central High School, be outstanding in visual arts, have a minimum GPA of 3.0, provide and essay and an example of your art. Eligible students do not need to major or plan to major in art in post-secondary education.

• Number Offered Each Year: One
• Need Basis: Given Consideration
• Qualifications: Graduate by June from Davenport Schools with at least a 2.8 GPA or a 20 or more ACT score.
• Obligations: This scholarship will be awarded to one graduating senior from Davenport Central High School who has participated in athletics all four years of high school and intends to participate in intercollegiate athletics. Special consideration is given to Track & Field.

• Amount of Scholarship:  $1950 the scholarship is non-renewing – available for one year only and the recipient will be announced at the Central High awards program in May.
• Number Offered Each Year: One
• Need Basis: Given consideration
• Qualifications: Applicants must have graduated from Davenport Central High by June 30th, while maintaining an overall GPA of 3.25 or higher. Recipients must have both outstanding science (preferably chemistry) interest and grades, as well as exhibiting outstanding leadership or service.
