Talented and Gifted Program

Talented and Gifted Process

Please review the DCSD Talented and Gifted Parent Education Handbook for additional information on program goals, identification procedures, acceleration process, and assessments.

Our DCSD gifted education program provides challenge, enrichment, and/or acceleration to meet the gifted students' academic and social/emotional needs.  Students who demonstrate outstanding abilities and potential when compared with other same aged peers and require differentiated instruction beyond core.

These are the beliefs that have guided the design of the Davenport Community Schools Talented & Gifted (TAG) Program for students in kindergarten through 12th grade. We are committed to developing gifted students' abilities and/or potential through ongoing and varied educational opportunities to extend their learning. Through an integrated approach, regular classroom teachers and TAG Facilitators work together to provide enriched opportunities to these students.

TAG Mission Statement

The mission of the Davenport Community School District Talented & Gifted Program is to maximize the potential of all identified students each and every day based on intellectual readiness and affective needs.

TAG Vision Statement

The DCSD Talented and Gifted Program will foster a growth mindset in all learners to think critically and take action.
