Wednesday evening, February 27, 2002, JB Young pulled out all the stops and celebrated literacy at its board-mandated Community Meeting. The Instructional Cadre, spearheaded by Sheila Cowherd, orchestrated the evening. Cadre members Rosalind McKee, Lynne Nettleton, Janet Collins, Tonya Salas, Carolyn Draper, and Sheila Cowherd worked tirelessly to create an evening enjoyable to students, teachers, parents, and the community.
The evening opened with selections from Mr. Fischer's Jazz Band.
Mr. Tadlock's chorus then performed several songs.
The JBYoung Stepping Stones Dancers, part of JB's After School Program, shared two dance numbers.
