JB's First Renaissance Fair
West High School put on a Renaissance Fair for the 6th graders at JB Young. Mr. Swords, the TAG teacher at West, performs all over the Midwest in Renaissance Fairs. He brought a little bit of the Middle Ages to us--the clothing, anecdotes about social life, and the weapons. Each session ended with students getting involved in the type of melee common in the Middle Ages. Thanks to Mr. Swords and Mrs. Hill, our TAG teacher, for setting up this fun and entertaining day.
