Wood Intermediate School Learns About First Aid
230 8th grade students from Wood Intermediate School participated in the American Red Cross First Aid Training Program. The purpose of the First Aid Training program is to provide participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to help sustain life and minimize the consequences of injury or sudden illness until advanced medical help arrives. This opportunity is made possible by the Free Health and Safety Training for students from the American Red Cross Quad Cities Chapter. The activities teach participants to use critical to solve problems related to checking an ill or injured person, soft tissue injuries, injuries to muscles, bones and joints and sudden illness.
