Principal’s Message:  

Welcome to Wood Intermediate School .  As Jim Caparula and I begin our third year at Wood, we enter this school year excited about the changes and opportunities students will experience.  The school day has been lengthened to accommodate longer class periods as core subjects will meet for an hour each day.  Extra help time has been added to the school day to assist those students who are struggling to meet subject area standards.  The A, B, C, I grading scale, piloted last year by several teams, will be implemented across all subject areas.  Students whose work does not meet at least C quality will be required to redo work until that standard has been reached.  We are excited about the eleven new staff members who join our teaching staff this year, each one committed to meeting the needs of all students.  We look forward to a positive and successful school year and invite you to be a part of our journey.
