Ms. Sheets - American Studies

I am expecting a magnificent year working with students, parents, and staff. My goal is to inspire all students to succeed in all aspects of the Wood Intermediate community. When I am away from school, I love to spend time with my family, read, and attend theatrical performances. I am available most days from 4-4:30 p.m.

Mrs. Dyer - Language Arts

My name is Maureen Dyer. This is my second year at Wood Intermediate, but I have been teaching English for four years.  I graduated from the University of Iowa with a bachelors degree in Journalism and Mass Communications (Go Hawks!) and went on to receive my master degrees from Western Illinois University. Born and raised in the Quad Cities, I attended Bettendorf High School, but am thrilled to be a part of the great team of Davenport teachers. I love to read a variety of literature, write stories of my own, do lots of traveling, and spend time with my husband and our dog, Cassius.  I look forward to a year of sharing great literature with great students. Please contact me with any questions or concerns about my classes.

This summer I finished my Master's Degree from Iowa State University in Curriculum and Instructional Technology. I love to hang out with my husband and son, get together with friends, cheer for the Iowa State Cyclones, and try new things! I love teaching middle school students because they are so unique. I look forward to a great year!
