Materials needed:  Spiral notebook

                               Current science article weekly

Concepts covered this year:

                   Metrics, measuring volume , mass and density                 

                    Physical Science:  matter , energy, and chemistry 

                   Life Science: environmental issues 

                   Earth Science:  earth’s surface, history of the earth, and water 

                    Engineering:  bridge building

Samples of activities students will be doing:

                Project on an element

                 Labs and activities: hands on learning throughout every unit study.

                Computer labs

                 Current science issues

                 Construction of a bridge

                 Assessment testing each semester                

Skills: Observing, classifying, qualitative and quantitative observations, exploring, predicting, hypothesizing, investigating , experimenting, analytical and critical thinking, and problem solving.
