Williams Intermediate Orchestra

7th and 8th Grade orchestra

            The Williams Intermediate Orchestra consist of 7th and 8th grade students who currently play a string orchestra instrument.  Students enrolled in this ensemble have played their instrument from one to four years.  Students rehearse daily from 10:10 to11:05 and receive an individual weekly lesson.  Williams Intermediate Orchestra students have many performance opportunities for their school, district and community.  Students have the opportunity to perform in small ensembles and chamber groups.  Members of the Williams Intermediate Orchestra perform as an independent ensemble and also combine with other students throughout the district and high schools.

6th Grade Orchestra

            6th Grade orchestra is a class that is available for anyone interested in playing a string orchestra instrument.  6th grade orchestra members include students who currently play a string instrument and those who are interested in starting.  Students receive an individual lesson once a week and also participate in the 6th grade orchestra ensemble.  This ensemble rehearses on Tuesday and Friday mornings at Williams Intermediate from 8:00 to 8:40.  Students perform at many community activities and concerts as well as district wide festivals.  Students perform as an independent ensemble and also combine with the Williams Intermediate orchestra.
