Spanish Club will meet again after school on Thursday 9/20 in Room 104 to discuss the Tostada Fiesta and other plans. Also Congratulations to the new officers: President Ethan Dies, Vice-President Brittany Vick, Secretary Ellie Mirfield, and Treasurer India Cavazos.
Congratulations to Kameron Morgan and Kaitlyn Powell for leading the Cross Country teams on Saturday in Geneseo. Kam took 1st place overall in the boys’ race and Kaitlyn finished 2nd in the freshman race and 3rd overall on the girls’ side. The teams combined to have 15 medal winners on the day. The next Cross Country race is Thursday at 5:00 at the Saukie Golf Course in Rock Island. They would love your support. Go Falcons! Coach Rietz

With Pocket Points, you get points for not using your phone. You can redeem these points at select businesses near you! Some teachers even have their own pocket points store for special rewards like points for missing assignments, etc. For more information, go to the Advisory tab on the school website and go to the Pocket Points information link.
West High Seniors!! Do you have lots of “fun” senior pictures you want to display in this year’s yearbook? Well, you’re in luck. The West High yearbook is selling Senior Ads. You get your very own quarter page section in the yearbook to design, within limits, to your desire. See Mrs. Choate in Room 201 for more info!
Attention juniors and seniors interested in health careers: Trinity College of Nursing and Health Sciences is hosting high school students to shadow a nursing, radiography, or respiratory care classroom and/or laboratory. Please see Mrs. Curtis in Guidance if you are interested in learning about some health careers and training programs.
Attention Falcons!!! Your 2018-2019 West High yearbooks are currently for sale! The books are cheaper than years past, so don’t be left out when the year comes to an end. Purchase your very own West High yearbook in the Activities Office!!
Attention, seniors!! The link to submit your senior portraits is now available on the West website. You have until November 16th to submit your portrait and/or your list of activities or quote. You CANNOT submit a list of activities and a quote. You also HAVE to submit a portrait, meaning head and shoulders only. We have senior ads available for purchase where you can display multiple “fun” senior pictures and include a write-up of your choice. See Mrs. Choate in Room 201 for more information or speak with a yearbook staff member.
