Davenport WestAND, this is the LAST day for students…and the last day I’ll be doing the official West High webpage.  I’ve enjoyed seeing and communicating ALL the impressive things that go on at West.  I do believe WEST is BEST.  HAVE A GREAT SUMMER.  STAY SAFE.  READ.  MAKE YOUR PARENTS PROUD. LIVE WELL.  —Ms. Searle

Davenport WestGirls interested in playing Volleyball next year:  lifting and open gyms will begin next week.  Lifting is available Monday, Tuesday, & Wednesday mornings from 9-10:30AM.  Open gyms will be Monday night: 6-8PM  &  Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 10:30-Noon.  Please check the Davenport West Volleyball Facebook page for more updates!

Davenport WestAny member of the Girls’ Golf team that has not returned equipment, it needs to be returned now to avoid fines.

Davenport WestStudents:  a reminder that all chromebooks need to be returned to your advisory teacher before you leave for the summer.

Davenport WestHey, Juniors! How awesome would it be to take a college course over the summer for FREE?! Well, this summer YOU CAN! Scott Community College has three dual-credit opportunities specifically for high school students: the Health Sciences “Nurse Aide” course, an Information Technology “Intro to Network Operating Systems” course, and Manufacturing “Plant Safety” and “Welding Symbols” courses. Seats are limited. See your school counselor for more information ASAP.

Davenport WestStudents interested in helping out with The Nest, The Food Pantry, 9th grade orientation, and JUMP, there are signup sheets in the Guidance Office.  Leave your name/number/email, and Ms. O’Hare will contact you about helping out! Remember, ALL these hours will count as volunteer hours to use towards a volunteer cord for graduation, NHS requirements, and scholarship and college applications. PLUS it’s the right thing to do to be on The West High Way!
