West Students Participate in United Way Education Day of Caring

iJAG and Mr. Massey’s Computer Science classes participated in the United Way Education Day of Caring. The students met one-on-one with local business professionals in an Employability Skills Workshop. Each student met with one professional to discuss his/her resume, met with another professional to perform a mock interview, and got to speak with them about what it takes to get and keep a career. Each student received feedback they could take with them into a real world job application and interview. Two students were offered employment opportunities at a local business. Kameron Houston was interviewed for the John Deere World Leaders meeting and on May 18th will be speaking in front of 200 John Deere World Leaders about his experiences with iJAG and the Day of Caring. Proud Falcons.  Latebreaking news:  Marcus Seay was interviewed by the QCTimes.  The article appears below.  Picture2
