Another West High success story.   Nate Wells, former West High student, is featured in an article just posted in the QC Times.  Not many thought he could achieve this level, but he never quit working in the classroom, in leading other students to make good choices, and on the court.  Click here to view the QC Times article.

Wylie Halferty Will Go to Nationals in June

    Wylie Halferty

    Wylie Halferty

Please congratulate Wylie Halferty for being selected to join the World Schools Debate Team for East Iowa at Nationals in June! This team is comprised of 5 members from around the East Iowa District, and they were selected out of a group of 16 very qualified applicants.  The team will compete against other District teams from all over the nation in a relatively new event for the National Speech and Debate Association that is more like parliamentary style debate.  Just in, please congratulate Wylie  for advancing to the semi-final round of Extemporaneous Speaking at the All-Iowa Finals.
