Mission: The mission of Truman School is to meet the educational needs of all stakeholders by developing partnerships which provide quality learning opportunities in a caring environment. Beliefs: We believe that members of our school community learn best when: All stakeholders are informed and working together toward common goals. All stakeholders team to facilitate learning at all levels and when all stakeholders are valued members willing to participate as facilitators and lifelong learners. Students are actively involved in making choices relevant to their learning. The stakeholders have high expectations for all learners which are understood by everyone. Everyone feels safe and secure in a non-threatening environment of mutual respect and cooperation. Goals: Implement a variety of strategies to meet students' needs to improve literacy. Implement the solution-focused intervention process to meet student needs. Implement instructional practices to meet the needs of diverse learners. |
