The Scott County Family YMCA’s childcare programs strive to support and strengthen families through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all. We utilize our four core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility to provide experiences and activities that are designed to meet the individual needs of children.
Registration: Enrollment is open without discrimination to any child that meets the enrollment criteria of age four by September 15th of the current school year. Registrations are accepted on a first come first serve basis. Parents need to complete the registration form and provide a birth certificate to be accepted in the program. Before the first day of attendance parents will also need to supply emergency contact information on the YMCA forms as well as current physical and immunization paperwork.
Class size: limited to 20 children with a certified teacher and an aide in either preschool session.
Program hours: 9:00 – 11:30 or 12:30 – 3:00 Monday through Friday. We will follow the Davenport Community School District regular schedule for days of attendance. Limited spaces are available for children who need to have care provided for full days instead of just the preschool hours.
Tuition: This program is FREE to children who meet the eligibility requirements and do not need “wrap care” before or after the preschool hours. Families needing the “wrap care” need to speak with the Center Director to determine eligibility and fees.
Transportation may be available on a limited basis based upon needs of participants and location. Please call the center to discuss options.
