Registration:    The Friendly House Early Learning Program registration begins with the parent filling out a form, which is available at Friendly House, 1221 Myrtle Street, Davenport, or on the Friendly House website, www.friendlyhouseiowa.rg. Several forms must be completed during the enrollment process including a statement of health status report, physical, an immunization card, with all required immunizations recorded and signed/dated by a health official and a program application packet. Included in this packet are identification information, family history, authorization for pickup, emergency contact information, travel and picture authorization, and parental emergency medical consent (includes name, address, and phone number of the child's doctor and dentist). Information acquired shall be held in confidence and maintained for program use only and can be released by parental or guardian written consent.

Class size:   The Friendly House Early Learning Program is lead by a qualified, certified teacher and has one classroom assistant. The program is licensed by the State of Iowa, and the class size for the 3 year old class is one staff person to every eight students, and the class size for the 4 and 5 year old class is one staff person to every nine students.

Program hours:    Three year old children attend classes on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. Four and five year olds attend Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and afternoons from 12:45 p.m. to 4:15 p.m.

Tuition:    Program fees range from $2.00 - $12.00 per week; however, there a number of subsidized slots due to the support through the state voluntary preschool piece. Friendly House offers scholarship opportunities, which makes the program affordable for all families and offers parents of all economic backgrounds the opportunity to provide their children with a quality preschool experience. Fees are due on the first day of classes each week. A non-refundable $10.00 pre-enrollment fee will be paid to insure your child's attendance in the Early Learning Program.
