Public Sale of Surplus Equipment
The following list of Industrial Shop
Equipment has been declared surplus by the Davenport
Community School District, Counties of Scott &
Muscatine. All equipment will be sold to the highest
bidder “as is where is”. The District makes no
claims as to the condition of the items. Each bidder
is expected to make his/her own judgment as to the
condition of the items. The District is not
responsible for providing any assistance in removing
the equipment however the District will disconnect
any/all gas and electrical connections.
Bids will be accepted at the office of the
Purchasing Department, 1606 Brady Street, Davenport
IA 52803 on or before 10:00 a.m. on May 19, 2008.
All bids must list the number off the picture you
are bidding on, the price offered. For this sale the
District is requiring a minimum reserve bid on each
piece of equipment. No bid under $100.00 will be
considered. Exempt from the reserve would be
shelving units. You must also include your name and
phone number. All information must be provided for
your bid to be considered. Only sealed bids marked
‘Surplus Equipment” on the outside of the envelope
will be accepted. Any bids received after that time
will be rejected.
Payment will be in the form of cash, cashier’s check
or certified check. No personal checks will be
accepted. The successful bidder (s) will be notified
and required to make arrangement for payment and
removal of item (s). No equipment will be removed
before payment.
The District has designated May 27, 28, 29 and 30/08
as removal dates.
There will be a public viewing on May 14, 2008 from
2: 15 pm to 4: 00 pm at North High School, 626 W.
53rd. Street, Davenport IA 62806. Check in with the
office for directions to the shops.
