Welcome back to another school year at Sudlow! As PTA Co-President, I am very proud to serve on the PTA Board and I think we have a lot to look forward to this year.
I'd like to begin by thanking everyone - students, staff, parents, and workers - for their patience and cooperation during the construction. It was a bit of a distraction at the beginning of school but everyone seemed to get through the dust and equipment without any trouble. It certainly has been worth it, as the results are terrific.
As always, communication is an important part of any organization. There are several ways to communicate with us and to keep yourself informed:
·The annual orange Parent Teacher Association Resource Directory was distributed at the beginning of the year and is still available if you need one (thanks again to Vickie Peterson for doing this).
·The Tiger Tales newsletter you're reading now is published quarterly (thanks to Rich Adams).
·The illuminated sign in front of the school by Locust Street is kept up to date with current events (thanks to Carol Walton).
·The dot sign in the cafeteria (at press time, I think this is without power due to the construction but will be back in operation soon) is maintained by Rich Adams.
·We use email often to get messages out to all those who are on the master email list. Kathy Quinn is the keeper of the email list and distributes all of our email. If you have an address and are not on the list, write to her at VKEQuinn@aol.com and ask her to add you to the list. You may also call her at home at 322-7505.
·A new tool this year is our website. This is kept updated with a calendar of events, sports schedules, phone numbers and more. The address isn't real catchy, because it's hosted in my personal web space, but if you add it to your favorites (or "bookmark" it) you can use it as a resource. The address is:
