Principal – Tonya Wilkins
I am a proud community member, parent and educator of the Davenport Community Schools. Born and raised in Davenport I attended Buchanan, Wood, Williams, and graduated from North High School. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Central College in Pella, my Master’s Degree in Leadership from St. Xavier in Chicago, another Master’s Degree in Administration from UNI, and I just completed my Superintendency Program from UNI. I was named principal at Sudlow Intermediate in the spring of this year after serving as principal at Wilson Elementary & Jackson Elementary. I also was the associate principal at Smart Intermediate, the teacher-in-charge/grant manager at Madison Elementary and taught at Williams Intermediate and Smart Intermediate. All of my 22+ years of experience have been in the Davenport Schools. The message I want to communicate to students is that education will allow them the opportunity to have a better life. I value the parents, volunteers, and staff collaboration to work together as we strive for success with each and every child. I truly believe that we all have a mission to accomplish; mine is to be a leader that helps create a better community through education. I am thrilled to be a part of the Sudlow Community! Go Tigers!
