A message from Principal Wilkins:
Hello Sudlow Families!
I hope this email finds you all healthy! DCSD staff have worked tirelessly to this summer to create a learning experience for your child that will keep everyone as safe as we can possibly be in the upcoming 2020-2021 school year. The current choice for families is 100% online or the 50/50 model at this time. This will be different from the end of last year, as the learning/work will be required. As a parent, community member, and an educator, I want you to make the best decision for your circumstances and your home environment. As much as I would love to see your kiddos beautiful (masked) faces at Sudlow, I understand the concerns you all have at this time. We are currently designing the traffic patterns in the building, replacing as many tables with desks, counting off six feet, and striving to adhere to all of the safety expectations we are putting into place. Students and staff will be expected to wear masks at school. Many public spaces are requiring this as well. That expectation as well as carrying backpacks instead of utilizing lockers are changes we hope you will discuss with your child before the first day of school. Sudlow will provide one mask for each student. Please know I am here as a resource. If you have a questions, send them to me. I will hopefully have the answer, or I will ask it as well. Much or our information will be shared on our website, through Facebook, and through Twitter. I have attached a few resources if you need to reference them. Please remember you need to make designate if you are choosing to have your child enrolled in “Online Only”. The hybrid model is a default if we do not hear from you through the link in Parent Portal. Beginning on Monday we will have new staff in the office, Heather Ehlinger is our Head Secretary & Dawn Evans is our Guidance Secretary. We are all navigating some unchartered waters, but TOGETHER, as a COMMUNITY, we will rise up and move forward. We appreciate your support!
Online registration is open! Please visit the website below for more information. If you have additional questions, please feel free to contact us at (563)
