How do I register my child?
A registration form, information/authorization form, $25 registration fee and one month/four week pre-payment must be received prior to start. Beginning of the year start dates will vary according to when registration is completed.
What is the daily rate?
Fees are $11.00 , $8.25, or $5.50 per day for after school program, based on whether or not you receive a fee waiver.
When are my bills due?
The bills are mailed home around the 15th of each month, and are due in full by the 1st of the following month.
How may I pay my bill?
We accept cash, check and credit cards (Visa/Master Card/Discover). You may mail or drop off your payments at the Stepping Stones Admistrative Office located in the DCSD Lincoln Community Center, 318 E. 7th Street, Davenport, Iowa 52803. Call 563-528-0973 to pay by credit card.
Do you accept other forms of payment?
Yes, we accept Promise Jobs and DHS Child Care Assistance. We must have a Notice of Decision on file indicating Stepping Stones as an approved provider prior to child starting program. Parent/Guardian is responsible for $25 registration fee.
Am I charged for days my child doesn’t attend?
You are charged for the days for which you are registered. If DCSD is not in session, there is no program and you are not charged. We do not accommodate drop in days. Students can only attend on their scheduled days.
May I change my permanent schedule?
Yes, we require a two week notice. Your new schedule and fees will become effective two weeks after notification.
May I send my child on days I have not scheduled?
We do not accommodate drop in days. Students can only attend on their scheduled days.
Do you provide snacks?
We provide snack during the afternoon program. All food is provided by the DCSD Food & Nutrition Services. During morning program breakfast is available for purchase.
Do you offer any discounts?
A 10% discount is given to Davenport Community Schools, Stepping Stones and City of Davenport employees. A 10% discount is also given to families enrolling multiple participants (siblings within the same household). We also offer a 10% discount for families with a parent/guardian that is an active, retired or veteran military service member.
When may I pick my child up?
You may pick up your child anytime before 5:30 p.m. If a child is picked up after 5:30 p.m., a fee of $1 per minute per child will be added to your bill.
What is the daily schedule?
Stepping Stones offers homework help, enrichment time, and recreation time on a daily basis.
Do you take field trips?
We average one field trip per month. You will receive prior notice of field trip dates.
What is the sign in/out procedure?
You must sign your student in for morning program, and sign your student out when picking up from afternoon program.
Who is able to pick up my student?
Only individuals you have listed on the emergency forms may pick up your child. ID required.
