NAME: C. Johnson
SUBJECT I TEACH: 8th grade math
HOBBIES: reading, gardening, biking, shooting baskets
THE COLLEGE I WENT TO: UNI in 1974
WHY I BECAME A TEACHER: I became a teacher because I wanted to help kids learn.
Also, I feel if the student wants to learn there is nothing they can't do.
SPECIAL ACTIVITIES: We do a Colonization Unit which consists of using the
computer to set up spreadsheets. The students see the power of the computer.
They also learn "garbage in...garbage out".
CLASSROOM RULES AND POLICIES: All of the 8th grade classrooms have the same
rules. The three main rules are:
1. Be on time.
2. Have required materials.
3. Work during work time.
IF I HAD A MILLION DOLLARS: If I won a million dollars, I would probably use it
to help out my family.
WHERE I'D LIKE TO GO ON VACATION: I would like to go back to the Austrian Alps
again. It was so beautiful!
SOMETHING THAT BUGS ME: People not being on time. Adults as well as students.
