Hobbies: watching sports, playing

College: I went to Augustana College in
Rock Island, Illinois, from which I graduated in 1996.
Why I teach: I've always loved to work
with kids, and teaching is a wonderful
way to do just that. It's probably because I'm still a kid at
heart, but I do love to teach. I'm excited about
learning new things while teaching this year.
Class rules & policies: Come to class
prepared, which means having everything with you. The respect you
give is the
respect you will receive. Honesty is always
the best policy in my classroom. If you
do the work, you'll receive the grade.
If I had a million dollars: I would travel
all over the place. I love to take vacations. My dream trip is to
go to New Zealand, so that would probably be my first destination.
After that, I would just travel the world.
Favorite Vacation: Since I haven't been to
New Zealand yet, it can't be my favorite, so my actual favorite
would be the cruise I took with my husband and family to the
Caribbean last year over Christmas break. We visited St. Maarten,
St. Thomas, and the Bahamas. It was an extremely beautiful trip
that I would go on again in a heartbeat.
Hero: I actually have two heroes, my
parents. They have accomplished many of their goals through hard
work and the love of family and friends. If I can become half the
person they are, I will be complete.
What Bugs Me: People who are lazy, lie,
cheat, steal, and are two- faced. I'm not perfect, and I don't
know anyone who is, but everyone should always try their hardest.
Additional Info.:
This is my third year at Smart. It is a wonderful school with a
lot of personality. I really enjoy coming to work every day! My
husband, Bob, my son, Caleb, our dog, Cari, and I live in Blue
Grass, where I was born and raised.
