7th Grade Health Classes Collect "Pennies for Patients"

    Ms. Hobart's and Ms. Irwin's Seventh Grade Health classes recently raised $685 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Iowa.  The students participated in a unit on cancer and spent two weeks collecting money for the "Pennies for Patients" Program.  The students donated their allowances, asked relatives for donations, and even took time to gather donations at parents' workplaces.  The money will stay in Iowa and will go towards further research, treatments and support for families dealing with cancer.
