School Board elections are now held in odd years during the month of September for the Davenport Community Schools and all other Iowa school districts. This year’s election will be Tuesday, September 8, 2009 for the three positions open: Patt Zamora, Larry Roberson, and Richard Clewell.  The term of office will be four years (2009-2013).

Candidate filing begins Monday, July 6, 2009 and the filing deadline is Thursday, July 30, 2009 @ 5 PM. The nomination papers need to be filed with the school board secretary or the designee at the Administration Service Center by the deadline.  

Candidate forums may be arranged by community organizations for the public to meet and get to know all the candidates.  Dates for the forum meetings will be posted as we are provided details on arrangements.

Election packets may be picked up at the Administration Service Center, 1606 Brady Street, or information packets and forms may be printed from the Scott County Auditors webpage.
