STUDENTS

State Law requires that we conduct school bus evacuation drills for all students who ride a bus. It has been past practice that we do evacuation drills for all students who ride the bus to a school. Evacuation drills are conducted for ALL elementary students at the school site each fall. In addition, evacuation drills are conducted at all buildings, K-12, on a selected day in the fall as regular routes arrive at each building. Each supervisor of an extra curricular activity, field trip, etc. should have the responsibility to make sure their students have an evacuation drill at the beginning of a season or trip. All bus drivers will conduct an evacuation drill if requested to do so.

All buildings will be notified in advance of the date when evacuation drills will be conducted as regular routes arrive in the morning. Drills will be held rain, shine, hot or cold.
