Purchase Orders
A standard Purchase Order (PO) should be issued prior to all
purchases. If an item or service is needed due to an emergency, a PO can be
issued via phone by the Purchasing Department.
Maintenance personnel may be authorized to issue emergency
purchase orders, known as "M" orders for repair parts, usually under $
250.00 in value. The Director of Support Services or designee is authorized to
issue "M" orders for emergency repair material if the amount is under
$ 500.00.
A PO or contract for maintenance work exceeding $25,000 may be
issued only after receiving sealed bids.
