Week of the Young Child
April 11-15 was the National Week of the Young Child. Started in 1971 by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), the purpose of the Week of the Young Child is to focus public attention on the needs of young children and their families and to recognize the early childhood programs and services that meet those needs.
The Children’s Villages celebrated in a variety of ways including participating in theme days, hosting a family night at each of its sights, and participating in a Village wide fundraiser at Pizza Ranch. The week was busy, but a memorable one for staff and families!
