    North Art Compete’s at Pastel Draw-Off

    On Saturday, May 25, 10 Quad City area high school art student teams competed on a live draw off.  The students designed and drew on an 8 x 8 foot square made up of two 4 x 8 foot masonite panels. They competed for awards to fund and improve education in the participants’ art departments.     NHS/Truman Life Skills Field Day

    National Honor Society held our annual field day with Life Skills students at Truman Elementary this morning. Many of these students are not able to participate in Field Day events with other students at the school because of safety concerns or sensory processing issues. There were different activities for the students to complete along side of the high school students. Read more

    Living Lands and Waters Field Trip

    On 5/15 Mrs. Rowland’s Biology Class went on a field trip to Living Lands and Waters.  We learned about native species, invasive species, pollinators, endangered species, mollusks, recycling, and bioaccumulation and plant species. We went on a hike, identified species, and played games dealing with environmental issues. It was a perfect day! Read more

    A & P Field Trip

    On May 10, North High School’s Anatomy and Physiology students visited the St. Ambrose University Cadaver Lab where they learned about and viewed a cadaver dissection. Students were able to see the human body anatomy they have studied in class. The experience was very positive and interesting. Students asked questions and gloved up to investigate body organs.     Anastasia Nguyen, a Davenport North JROTC Cadet, has been awarded the Vietnam Veterans of America Medal and Scholarship. She was selected by the Vietnam Veterans of America National committee as the first national winner, competing against 269 other applicants.
