The North Art Department has their biggest, most prestigious art show of the year. Thursday, April 6th at 6:30 pm, we have our award ceremony at Quad City Arts in Rock Island. This is a huge show and a big honor for the students to be in. As teachers, we are only allowed to select five students per teacher. The students are allowed to put price tags and sell their work. All work is framed and professionally displayed. All four of the North art teachers filled our roster and each of the four of us also entered a personal work into the teacher division. We were sent an email that we have 5 students that won major awards that will be announced on Thursday. We also have the student, Hunter Bell, that won Best of Show at Festival of Trees, so he has a entire front window to himself to display his work. Best of Show at Quad City Arts has been $1,000 the past two years. There are multiple awards and money given away. It would mean a lot to us as staff and especially to our students if any of you could make an appearance at this. I know that you are all busy, but this is our biggest show of the year. Please consider attending and see that attached information. There was an article on Channel 4 News featuring some of our students work. If you cannot make this night, the show will be on display until May 5th.
