- Red Ribbon Run
On October 30, 2006, Monroe held the first annual Red Ribbon Run. The event was in support of Red Ribbon Week to show the student's commitment to a healthy, drug-free lifestyle. Some students and teachers ran as much as 2.5 miles during the half-hour activity. Despite the 35 degree temperature, the kids and staff had lots of fun while doing a positive activity. Thanks to Mrs. Thissen for organizing the event!
