Monroe staff and parents are very proud of the 5th grade students who performed both exciting and inspiring projects which began with a simple question and an interest in science. GREEN + GROWING
Monroe celebrates its students in so many different ways! We celebrate academics, attendance, creativity and citizenship. We also do this on a daily, weekly, and even quarterly basis. From Cover to Cover is a non-profit organization that strives to raise literacy among elementary students. They have done many things to help Monroe Students. For the past three years they have presented books and blankets for each individual Kindergarten student, and for the past two years they have provided every Kindergarten student with a new crate with 25 books in it so that each student can Read more
The second grade classes presented Reader’s Theater in celebration of Thanksgiving, providing family, friends, and classmates with presentation of their reading and drama skills!
When ‘performing’ Reader’s Theater, students act out a written story (script) which is divided among them. There are no required costumes, special lighting or memorization, just reading as fun!Read more
