    Teen Mom Class Creates Vision Boards

    We had two visitors during the Teen Mom class today.  Natalie did Goal setting with the girls and then they created a Vision Board.  Andrea is Natalie’s friend from France and she will be coming back next week to do Meditation and Relaxation techniques.

    Students in Mid City’s Davenport Digital Innovator course are featured on KWQC News for creating a ‘walking tour’ app to promote the city of Davenport’s history. 

    Mid-Year Graduation Is Tonight!

    Last night the Mid City Iowa Youth Congress held an informational meeting with local State elected officials at Mid City High School. In attendance were State Senators Roby Smith and Rita Hart, Senators Elect Jim Lykam and Mark Lofgren and State Representative Phyllis Thede. The members of the Youth Congress presented their bills on School Funding Equalization and Hands Free Cell Phone use while driving. IYC members made quite an impact on the officials and received many compliments on their research and writing of the bills as well as a good deal of support for their proposals.

    IYC members present at the meeting were as follows:  Ayiana Litt, Jalen Crawford, Chrissy Bein, Morgan Kurtz, Taylor Lance, Jade Arnold, and Maddie Pineo.
