    MC Urban Farm Video Update

     

    Alderwoman visits with Teen Moms

    Maria Dickman, Davenport Alderwoman, presented to the Teen Mom Advisory class.  She spoke about her teen years, attending college, and getting into politics at a young age.  Maria was a member of the Davenport School Board prior to serving on Davenport City Council.

    Algebra I Scavenger Hunt

    Algebra I class worked with partners to complete a scavenger hunt in Mrs. Kormann’s class.  They literally enjoyed solving literal equations!

    Davenport Fire Dept Visits Teen Mom class

    The Davenport Fire Department came out to teach the teen moms about fire safety in the home, carbon monoxide detectors, and car seat safety.

    Corn, pumpkins, and potatoes! Urban farm students show off the amazing produce they’ve been growing since last year!

    iJag does team building activity

    iJAG students worked on team building in class today using red cups, string, rubber bands. Students had to use these materials and create a pyramid and work together as a team. Way to go to meet the 21st Century Employability Skills of the Iowa Core!!
