We had another great week of school and our students are doing a great job! Thank you to all of the dad’s that were able to attend our Donut’s with Dad this morning. It was a great turnout and it would not be possible without our amazing PTA. We move into October next week which brings many more important dates and activities.
Friday, October 6th fall pictures will take place. A form will be sent home and you can have your child bring your selected order and money with them of purchases can be made online through the information below.
The order code allows parents to order online at inter-state.com/order. The unique order code for McKinley Elementary School is 18766DF.
Our first popcorn day will take place on Friday. All money must be turned in by Thursday, October 5th. The cost is $0.50 a bag and the proceeds go towards supporting our Student Council. The student council uses their earned money to go towards school projects that they identify as improvements for our building. The past couple of years they have helped purchase new gym mats and a water bottle refilling station.
McKinley in the News
On September 22nd, McKinley held it’s 6th annual Cooking Day. We partnered with local chef Robert Lewis and many parent volunteers to make ratatouille. It was a big hit and all students had the opportunity to try the recipe. Below are two links from local media sources that covered our great event.
Next PTA meeting will be held on October 12th at 6:00pm. Child care is available.
