We had a very exciting week as we helped celebrate Central High School homecoming. The Central Marching Band sent 150 members over to McKinley on Thursday morning to get our students into the school spirit. Thursday evening the homecoming festivities continued as the parade and pep rally were held at McKinley with a large turnout.
This morning Chef Robert Lewis and a couple of his colleagues joined Amy Wine and volunteers to help our 2nd graders with the Garden Cooking Day! This year we made ratatouille and all students were able to sample the recipe. The Quad City Times was in attendance so there may be an article in the paper tomorrow.
Donuts with Dad
Next Friday, September 29th McKinley will host Donuts with Dad from 6:45-7:15am in the cafeteria. Additional parking will be available on the playground blacktop. We will not walk the track on this day, instead students will enter the building and lineup outside their classroom.
