Staff vs. Student Volleyball

     On March 4, 2008 at 3:15 Kimberly Center ’s gym was turned into a beach volleyball court. Staff and students came together for an afternoon of fun thanks to Mr. Wessel’s great organizational skills. Staff and students played 3 games to 15. The team that won two out of three games was called the winner of the volleyball match. The staff team consisted of Mr. Wessel, Mr. Galvin, Mrs. Flynn, Miss Jones, Mr. Fox and Mr. Matheis. The student team consisted of Jessica, Kat, John, Harold, Jacob and Phillip.
     During the first round students smashed the teachers! Students were very pumped up. Second round was a very close game. The teams were going back and forth. One team would get a point then the other would. Toward the end of round two the game had to go into over time. The score for this round 18 to 16, staff won. Third round came and everyone could tell the students did not give up. In the game staff won this round and the overall game.
     All in all both teams played awesome. Staff played hard and showed great sportsmanship. The students really showed a lot of teamwork. After round two, the students were starting to get tired but hey still played hard. The teamwork and sportsmanship really proved a lot about the school spirit of Kimberly Center . This game has brought staff and students closer together.
