Freshman
Orientation 2008
On August 12th,
Kimberly Center's incoming freshmen participated in the annual Freshman
orientation or "Jump Academy". The one-day program offered the
freshmen a chance to meet each other and their teachers in a fun, relaxed
atmosphere. They participated in several activities designed to acquaint them
with the Kimberly Center. They created schedules and met the schools
wonderful administrators, Cathy Bosco and Charlie Driscoll. Every student had
their picture taken in an authentic graduation cap and gown intended to
motivate them to embark upon their journey toward graduation. Because of
building renovations, the students took an innovative "virtual
tour" of the Kimberly Center that allowed them to see their classrooms
and avoid the danger of an active construction site. The meeting concluded
with a very pleasant dinner of pizza and soda with the student's
families.
