Book Fair Resounding Success

Thank you to all students, parents and staff who supported the Hayes Book Fair.  We did a tremendous amount of business in just one week.  We sold almost $1,800.00 dollars worth of items.  This means that Hayes Library will get just about $475.00 in profit to buy new non-fiction books for the library.  With this level of success, we plan to continue to have a yearly spring book fair so keep that in mind for next year.  Again, thank you so very much.

Storyline Online

Parents this is a website where your child can listen to a story, read by actors.

The Screen Actors Guild Foundation is proud to bring you Storyline Online, an on-line streaming video program featuring SAG members reading children's books aloud!  Each book includes accompanying activities and lesson ideas.  The SAG Foundation thanks Idearc Media for their generous underwriting of Storyline Online and is proud to bring the gift of storytelling to millions of children.  This program has been made possible by a wavier from the Screen Actors Guild.

"It's a good thing when children enjoy books, isn't it?"
