Response to Intervention
Response to Intervention is a process that schools use to help children who are struggling academically or behaviorally. The Davenport Community Schools use Collaborative Teacher Teams at the school level to examine student work and assessment data to identify and better serve the needs of students having poor learning outcomes. These teams establish a plan for evidence-based interventions and monitor student progress, adjusting the intensity and nature of those interventions as needed to improve student learning.
Hayes also has a building level Student Intervention Team that uses student academic and behavioral data to provide school-wide interventions for students for students who need extra help in these areas.
