The Garfield counseling program is very busy with activities that promote our safe climate in our school. Safety is a top priority for the Gators. The more safe and secure the climate of the school, the better students can learn.
From monthly assemblies promoting positive behavior, to Gator-Aides helping in the cafeteria, the Gators of Garfield are busy making sure everyone is the best “me” they can be. Every morning, students begin with the Garfield pledge. Mr. Orfitelli reminds us about the procedures we need to follow. The first Friday of every month, fifth graders lead the assemblies. Garfield continues to promote anti-bullying behavior as it has since it became the first Davenport school to begin the Olweus program.
